MoD Aberporth is run under a ‘Long-Term Partnership Agreement’ (LTPA) between the Ministry of Defence (who own the site) and Qinetiq. As well as the missile and drone testing range across a large area of Cardigan Bay, the site has an approved air corridor stretching inland to the Sennybridge Ranges near the Brecon Beacons National Park – allowing the live testing of drones as part of army training operations.
