Author(s)Jorgen Randers
Publication/ sourceThe Club of Rome
Date published31/10/2012
Summary text/ abstract2052 – A Global Forecast for the Next Forty Years argues that global population and GDP growth over the next forty years will be slower than most expect, but not slow enough to avoid greenhouse gas emissions that will push the average global temperature above the internationally agreed danger threshold of plus 2 degrees Centigrade over preindustrial times. This will cause reduced well-being, especially in the rich world, but no global collapse by 2052.
