BOKK Library

‘Tools for action!’

Language, “sets rules and limits, and grinds the one-prescription-fits-all lenses through which we see everything”. Put simply: It’s difficult to address ‘radical change’ when the mass of people lack the language and understanding to perceive it.

Site update, Yule 2025
As of the end of 2025 we are beginning to upload the new FRAW site (comprising 2 gigabytes of data across thousands of files). As the BOKK Library will be inter-linked to all parts of the site it cannot be completed until the general upgrade is complete. Until then expect a number of ‘Work in Progress’ signs.

‘Tools for action!’

This is the Free Range Network’s Boundless Organized Knowledge Kit’: a Atoolkit for self-education without purpose, without limitation, but with a specific radical, and eco-critical frame, intended to raise people’s capacity to interpret the world around them and act to change their relations to it.

Across the FRAW site links to the Library’s pages can be seen as purple web links. The Library itself has five sections:

  • GGlossary – an alphabetic collection of keyword definitions – detailing the ‘-isms’, ‘-ologies’, and ‘-archies’ that frame policial and social debates – which together describe a radical perspective on current events;
  • IIssues – a categorized collection of pages, based around themes of radical politics and activism which are promoted by the Free Range Network, intended to inform action and change off-line;
  • JJournals/Papers – a collection of reports and academic journal papers which support the materials hosted across the FRAW site; and
  • OOrganizations – a collection of reports and studies produced by various organizations and governmental agencies, supporting materials hosted across the FRAW site;
  • GSubject Index – a collection of categorized keywords with links to the occurrence of those terms right across the FRAW site.
‘Industrial landscapes’

The growth of paywalls and increasing levels of regional censorship mean that content that was once linked to across the FRAW site is becoming harder to connect to. These pages act not only as a resource library, but as a single point of connection between the content of FRAW and the rest of the Internet – so that when content is taken down or put behind a paywall new sources can be linked to here without having to change the content of the entire FRAW site.

That said, at some point in the future we hope to create an off-line DVD of this site – recreating the site’s original format in 1994/5 before it went on-line – as a means to address the increasing compartmentalization and marginalization of radical expression and communication (more information on this as-and-when it is completed).

Together these resources are intended to create a ‘toolkit’ for change – a basic set of resources that readers can develop into something more specific which meets their own needs. It is not an end-point in creating change, it is an attempt to provide the seeds that others might use to grow it.

Updates to the BOKK Library

This page lists additions and significant revisions to all parts of the BOKK Library, in reverse chronological order:

Yule 2025: Update 1: And so it begins!
We have to start somewhere on this seemingly impossible task, and where we proposed to start is here.
